Frequently Asked Questions

Why are you doing this?

Company’s all over the world are taking steps to protect their workers and help the public get through these difficult times. It is in these moments that we see the true character of good companies demonstrated by their actions. We see leadership, and courage guiding those actions. We hope by posting these stories of good companies, that it inspires more companies to support their workers and the public in extraordinary ways, and for the public to vote for them with their trust and with their wallets.

What is your criteria for selecting companies?

These companies must
– Provide relief to people directly impacted by COVID-19.
– Provide relief that is difficult to provide and come with significant financial sacrifice
– Be inspiring

All of these are subjective – but we intend people to read these stories and see companies that have really put forth extraordinary effort to help. We do not want people to read this list and feel the companies features are just ‘promoting’.

I am not seeing a company I submitted. Why?

Big banks we have chosen not to feature. While many anks aree helping with mortgage deferral programs, this is a temporary deferral of income for banks. It does not in our view represent a significant financial sacrifice since they will still receive that money in the future. If we missed something let us know.

For all other companies please contact us and we’ll be sure to respond back with our rational, but it probably didn’t meet our published criteria.

Who are workers?

They are employees, contracts, or vendors that do work for the company in some capacity are depending on the companies payment for their services.

Who does the heart icon mean?

These companies have taken extra-ordinary actions for both their workers and the public.
